Penultimate lap...

Spent the day in Singapore yesterday!! Was lots of fun! Woke up early-ish and headed into the city where we went down to the marina and clarkes quay! Didnt take many pictures though coz... we forget to charge the camera!! Getting ready to head to the airport soon to fly back to Bangkok, then on to Copenhagen and Dublin! Oh the suspense!! Looking forward to seeing everyone!...kinda! Would like to stay for another week or so! Ok so hopefully will blog from Copenhagen!

whistleblower

Queued up yesterday morning at the Petronas towers at 8 oclock...but tickets were already all gone! kind of disappointed but we got better views at KL tower. Spent the rest of the day at KLCC park, where a park policier blew a whistle at us and tolkd us to seperate when we sat too close! Got the bus last night at 12! And of course the one time you might want transport to be late/delayed.. we arrive 1 hour early! Meaning we've been in Singapore since 5am!!! Spent the last few hours checking out the city centre, went to the marina etc! Lots to do tomorrow! :)

Close, but no cigar!...

Got a clear day but missed out on tickets to the skybridge by 11mins! Ouch! Headed over to the TV tower instead and got our views there which were really cool! Opted/were duped into the "adventure" package which comprised of a pony ride, visit to a tiny zoo and wait for it F1 simulation! -Which was really just a racing game! But it was fun all the same! Heading to Chinatown later! Was supposed to get the train to Singapore tomorrow night but found out today that all the tickets are sold!.... So it looks like we're staying here?!?... ;)

This is nice!.. Oh it's getting faster!.. Oh no!..

Spent most of today in Malaysia's biggest indoor theme park!! That's right! Hardly any queues either! Proved to be a little too much for some of us though! Got some yummy waffles to tidy us over between rides! Heading to the Patronas towers tomorrow so hopefully it'll be a clear day! :)

Singing in the rain!...

Good job we decided to keep the cinema until today because it poured ALL day long! So much for SUN, sea and sand!! ;) Another wild adventure to be had in the cinema, where we were asked to stand before the movie to pay our respects to his majesty!!! Followed by a montage! He's some hottie! ;) Last blog before Malaysia! Heading to KL the day after tomorrow! Bright and early! See you there!! :)

Pimp my tuk tuk!!

Spent the last two days lounging about! Going to the beach, staying by the pool and eating yummy food! Feeling like two tigers since both they and we sleep nearly 18 hours a day!! Hoping to go to the cinema tomorrow night! Hopefully it'll be in English or Irish! We're not picky!!! ;) Katie's getting eaten alive. That or she's caught the plague! Ouch!

No means no....

Wow! Phuket sure is a tourist town! Got here yesterday. Weather is nice, not as hot as Chiang Mai or Bangkok. Beach is cool. Got free taxi to Chang Mai airport because the taxi man had no change!! We should carry around big bills more often! ;) Hotel is very nice! First hot shower in a week. And the breakfast is sooo good! Just had dinner in Sweet restaurant. Was real good. Katie had cocktail, so now I have to put her on my shoulder and carry her home! On the upside though no more girls are asking me for a "massage"!! Thanks a million for the comments. No wifi in the hotel so we can't post as often here. But don't worry, avid fans...we will post again soon!! :)

We've had some time to put up some photos on the page. We will endeavor to change these as often as possible. Went to bazaar and flower market last night. ended up getting lost! eventually found civilization and go-go bars....! went to zoo today, saw baby panda. Considering adopting one and taking it home... will put up more photos soon. Last night in Chiang Mai tonight. Nothing special planned. Plane to Phuket in morning. Enjoy the photos!

Whoops...

Lazy day today! Went into Chang Mai city and spent the whole day walking around! Stopped for ice-creams and managed to spill a slush puppie all over the shop!!! Hope to go to the night bazaar tonight later and maybe get some food there! :)

Nice to meat you!..

Early start Monday morning! We didn't know what hit us! First we went to an elephant camp where we had an elephant ride and saw them bathing and playing together! It was really cool and we got loads of pictures! Also went bamboo rafting which was fun! Next we got up close and personal with some real life tigers!! It was really scary but so amazing! Finished the day off with a snake show which was really scary too, especially since we were only a few metres away! Probably the best day so far! :)

18 hours later...

Got the overnight train to Chang Mai which was really fun! In the morning we ordered a nice American breakfast which consisted of cold scrambled egg, a slice of ham, 2 cocktail sausages, apple, lettuce, toast and pineapple jam! Yum! Train broke down and had to wait 3 extra hours for a new engine! But we got here eventually! Weather is still very warm but not as bad as Bangkok! :)

An eventful day as ever! Started the day off by travelling to the train station to buy our tickets to Chang Mai and were greeted by a nice young man who showed us where to buy our tickets and then tried to scam us into buying an over priced package deal! Spent the rest of the day in a park! Saw some lizards and then everyone stopped what they were doing and stood to listen to the national anthem over an intercom!! For dinner we accidently ate someone elses food which happened to be very tasty!! :)

pure exhaustion

hello just back in hotel. Wow what a long day!!! Up early today to go to the Grand Palace. Had to get sky train then taxi. The Palace was amazing, like nothing we have seen before. Lots of pictures to come. Taxi back was an adventure..... Drivers are paid based on distance not time... Still the only white people nearby! Weather was warmest we have ever been. Sun was splitting the stones. About 35+ degrees!! Anyway exhausted now, need nap! More later.... :-)

Arrived in Bangkok yesterday! So warm even at night! Staying in the so-called tourist area although we seem to be the only tourists around and get a lot of stares! So we can put on our shades and feel famous!!! So far we've eaten at a bar-b-q/buffet place and seen a night market, an elephant and a dog with shoes!!! :)

Had a 8 hr stop over so we decided to spend the day in Copenhagen city! Started off as we meant to go on, nearly getting fined for validating our metro tickets incorrectly! Spent most of the day walking and exploring the streets finishing off the day with liquorice flavoured ice pops!?!! :)

And so it begins. Jetting off tomorrow, bright and early! Bags packed! Camera charged and we're ready to go! :)
